Dr. Berenson also discusses why he feels that having a variety of current treatment options, while continuing to increase therapeutic options through clinical trials, is best for patients. He explains his belief that myeloma is not a “sprint to the finish line” but rather a marathon, keeping in mind not only the impact on patients from the disease but from the treatment as well.
